Are you looking in the past?\u00a0 If so, how does that serve you?\u00a0 The important point here is to gain clarity about the big picture so you can cope with the unexpected. Life happens. 2020 happens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be specific but flexible when you think about the future.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

What happens when you pivot from a job that you thought was forever?\u00a0 What about when you have twins and were only expecting one?<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t delay life over being obsessed about a particular outcome.\u00a0 If you wait to get it exactly right, you will be waiting forever! Don\u2019t buy into a false sense of precision.<\/p>\n

Maybe you delay thinking about the future for fear of getting it wrong.\u00a0 If that\u2019s the case, you\u2019ll avoid this exercise altogether. Quit waiting for the \u201cbest\u201d advice and consequently doing little (or nothing) to further your potential.<\/p>\n
